The Parables Pt. 12 – The Parable Of The Talents – Looking For The Return

We continue our Parables Series with one of Jesus’ most sobering and hope-filled teachings—the Parable of the Talents. In this story, Jesus reveals what it means to live faithfully in the time between His departure and His return. Each servant is entrusted with something valuable, representing the time, gifts, opportunities, and influence God places in our hands. Two respond with courage and faithfulness, stepping into joy and greater purpose. But one buries what he’s been given, and in doing so, misses the very heart of the Master.

This message challenges us to reflect on what we’ve been entrusted with—and whether we’re actively participating in the mission of God or playing it safe out of fear or complacency. We’ll explore what true faithfulness looks like, why passivity is not neutrality, and how Jesus invites us into a life of trust, purpose, and eternal joy.
