The Holy Spirit Pt 9 - Gentleness - True Strength
We continue our Holy Spirit series with Part 9 - "Gentleness - Strength That Doesn’t Need to Dominate". Gentleness is often misunderstood as weakness, passivity, or avoiding hard conversations. But in Scripture, gentleness is not the absence of strength — it is strength surrendered to Jesus. In this message, we look at Matthew 11:28–30 and 2 Timothy 2:24–26 to see how Jesus, the most powerful person who ever lived, was also the safest person for the weary and broken to approach. His gentleness did not lower the standard of truth, but it revealed the heart of God. We also see how the Spirit forms that same gentleness in us — a gentleness that corrects without crushing, speaks truth without domination, and creates room for repentance and growth. Because gentleness is not weakness. It is the fruit of the Spirit forming the heart of Jesus in ordinary people, in ordinary moments, over the course of an ordinary life with God.
